16 mth Baby's ill- if I give up work to look after her what benefits can I get?

My 16 month old daughter has hypotonia and is currently undergoing tests so that we can get an idea of what's going on. She doesn't walk at the moment and has no strength in her legs. As a result I'm spending most of my time either doing physio with her or taking her to a variety of different medical appointments. I feel I need to give up work to be able to give her the best chance at walking - I currently earn 12K and my husband earns 30k. Does anyone know if I'd be able to claim any benefits to make up the shortfall if I stop working?
