Getting knee surgery in 2 weeks....have a few questions...?

I have seen numerous other patients at the physical therapy clinic I go to that have had knee surgery. Every one of them have worn shorts in the winter. My knees haven't been operated on yet, but I had to wear a stabilizer when I busted my right kneecap 28 years ago. I had to cut a perfectly good pair of jeans to wear that thing for six weeks because I didn't want to wear shorts. Nowadays I would.
