FRANKENSTEIN (by: Mary Shelley)?

To start with, do not, for the love of a ping grade, refer to the monster as Frankenstein :-) The monster is the monster; Frankenstein is Frankenstein. They have become conflated in pop culture, but if you're writing about the book formally you definitely want to keep them straight. In terms of similarities, you might look at how they are both "motherless" and what that means in terms of their development; at how they each struggle with fully realizing relationships with others despite their monstrousness (the monster literally, Frankenstein figuratively); at how they are each denied their bride on the cusp of marriage; at how their stories end.
