What's your favorite scary or mystery novel?

So, in October I've deemed it scary book month for myself. I've done the obvious like Frankenstein, Dracula, Exorcist but now I'm looking for more. Any suggestions? Even books thematic with October but not scary are fine. Oh, and feel free to leave your favorite December holiday books.
