Is this a good camera?!?!?

So for Christmas, I'm asking for the Casio Exilim EX-Z1050 10.1MP Digital Camera. I'm in high school and I'm planning on using the camera for pictures of friends, travel. No professional pictures! :) I really want a camera with good battery life, also. Does anyone know if this camera would be good for what I'm asking from a digital camera? Thank you!!
