My boyfriend dislike my fam.Help?

Everyone i know love my family. we been together 5 years and last year we decided to move in together. things were great until he got laid off (working now). my mom started seein him as disrespectful to her and she easy to get alone with. He said i am livin a fairy tale life because he doesnt have to like my family because of me.How can i marry someone who dont like my family. His family is rude and i would never tell him i dont like is family i would just keep my distant. What should i do really cuz i am in the middle my family and the man i love. very important people to me
