Where should my cervix be if my period is due tomorrow?

Okay so I am 13 dpo. You may have seen some of my other question as I am extremely confused. Okay so normally the day before my period my cervix is low and hard (meaning it is easy to reach). However this month since about 8 dpo my cervix has been really high. Today it is so high I can barely reach the bottom of it. it feels really soft and squishy and it is still closed (the opening almost feels like a sliver)? I took a test today and it came out negative so I am confused.
