My hair!!! A horror!!!?

I have brown hair. The length? An inch longer than chin. Btw, I am a girl. The problem? Fran Drescher/The Nanny kind of type. I can't control my hair. I straight it every time I wash it, but that is becoming really annoying. I need some serious advice. What to do??? Oh, and I should mention that my face is really round. And a bit chubby. And I have really nice eyes.
