How do I correct my audio in my DVD?

I recently made a DVD using Windows DVD maker in windows 7. I got my mpeg. video and put in the window, and it started encoding the file into the DVD-R. I played my DVD on my TV and the audio was 5-10 secs ahead of the video. Thinking it was just a glitch, I did made a new DVD, the same problem occured. The video works fine when I play it on the computer, but when I burn a DVD with it and play it with my TV or other computers the audio is ahead of the video. Please help me!!!
